Le Fables de Fontaine is another of Christian Constant's re-imagined bistros.This one is devoted to fish and I think this may be some of the best fish that I have ever had the privilege to eat.Fresh, fresh, fresh and fresher still are the keys to the excellence of this restaurant. By now it's a cliche to say that the best ingredients are the basis of good food. Cliche it may be, but eating at a place like this reminded me of the truth of the truism.
This place is tiny, only seating 30 people. But that means that every dish gets the personal attention of the chef and his cooks.

If you've seen Julie and Julia, you might remember Julia swooning over a Sole Meuniere , her eyes closed in orgasmic pleasure, whispering "Butter." With this dish, I have some idea of how she must have felt. This was sooo good.
Each of us chose a difference garniture to accompany our fish. Kay had asparagus with morels and I had the polenta with calamari. Goodness upon goodness.
