Cosmopolitan

Cosmopolitans came into national prominence while Sex and the City was still being broadcast. It's a great drink and one that we like to include in our forays into the Cocktail Hour. I can highly recommend it as a satisfying way to begin an evening of socializing with friends.

COSMOPOLITAN

• 1 1/2 ozs. citrus-flavored vodka
• 1/2 oz. Cointreau
• 1/2 oz. cranberry juice
• 1/2 oz lime juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker half filled with ice. shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

I use regular vodka and Triple Sec which make a perfectly acceptable --even a very good--drink. Women take note. This is a painless way to get your quota of cranberry juice.
