Just what the world needs is one more food blog, right? But I couldn't resist. Every time I think of adding another entry to the family website, it's about food. So, I decided to just give in and start writing a food blog.
How did I choose this name? My step-daughter, Hallie, is originally from Siberia and her nick-name is Little Bear. When I came onto the scene, she started calling me Big Bear. A few years ago for Christmas, she gave me a chef's jacket emblazoned with the name of BEAR CUISINE. Thus, the name of this blog.
What do I hope to do here? Waking or sleeping,I dream about food; one of my greatest joys is planning and preparing a dinner party. Often, I enjoy cooking dinner for the family-- even for my picky teenage daughter. I seem to have an overwhelming desire to share my discoveries and experiences. Maybe some of you will enjoy reading about my food adventures.
